BROOKHAVEN INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY CLOSES ON PROPOSED SENIOR HOUSING COMPLEX IN PORT JEFFERSON STATION

FARMINGVILLE, NY (October 2, 2026) – Frederick C. Braun III, Chairman of the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency (IDA) announced that the Agency has closed on a package of economic incentives for a proposed 45-unit senior residential rental complex in Port Jefferson Station.

The $21 million complex, proposed by C&K Development, an affiliate of Kelly Development Corp, will be built on 5.5 acres of vacant land at the northeast corner of Old Town Road and Terryville Road, in Port Jefferson Station, to be known as Cordwood Estates at Port Jefferson Station.

The closing took place on October 2, 2026. The IDA gave final approval to the project on Oct. 25, 2025.

The 57,000-square-foot complex is to be constructed across multiple buildings. It will include about 10 percent that will be affordable housing for residents whose incomes are at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), according to household size for the Nassau-Suffolk primary metropolitan statistical area. Another 10 percent will be workforce housing for residents whose incomes are at or below 120 percent of AMI.

The development will have 45 two-bedroom units. Amenities will include a clubhouse and a pool.

“This project will, among other things, help seniors remain in our community in high-quality affordable housing that is close to shopping and services,” said Braun. “It will help to provide housing that is much needed in the Town of Brookhaven.”
