Bus Tour Press Release

FARMINGVILLE, NY —Board members and staff of the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency took a bus tour on July 11th around the town, visiting more than 50 existing projects, including recently completed buildings or projects now under construction, as well as another 20-30 former projects.

The four-hour tour, visited sites throughout the Town including manufacturing plants, warehouses, rental housing and hotels. “For some, the realization of the impact of all of our efforts over the years was eye-opening. Seeing the scale of the AVR project [The Reserve at the Boulevard] is very different than a description of it on paper. With the development of the retail phase, it’s becoming a small city,” said IDA Chairman Frederick C. Braun III.

“It was good to see the kind of projects we support,” added IDA board member Gary Pollakusky.
